What a fantastic voorstelling! If you are looking for something to envelop you, this is the performance for you. The increasing drama in every episode makes you omdat to jump right into each and every episode.

If you regularly attend church, you can receive spiritual healing, confess sins, and be in communion with God or at least perceive that this kan zijn happening. But the scripts have to get better. They need to be outlined better and the dialogue needs to be more subtle in relaying information as well as doing so in a natural manner in which real people speak. So far they have tried to cram too much information in each sentence

It's at times very hard to make any sense ofwel this all and the reason is probably that there isn't one. The whole series feels like a cinematic supermarket that's low on stock and has a small variation ofwel products. On the plus; I'm not a religious person, but I basically like how bible quotes are thrown into daily conversations, although at times I hear myself thinking "Please God, no more."

The church business is a novel setting, and, with the exception ofwel several scenes in the final season, isn't too preachy. The characters are fairly well developed and their interaction credible. Even though the plot seems to point to the eldest daughter, Grace, as the main focal point, in my opinion the matriarch Lady Mae is the star ofwel the show. She kan zijn strong yet sensitive, often witty and ultimately endearing. Great performance by Lynn Whitfield.

Lady Mae makes an overture of peace to Mavis and the result kan zijn a revelation that sends Mae into a tailspin.

The unscrupulous world ofwel the Greenleaf family and their sprawling Memphis megachurch, dark secrets, and lies.

This kan zijn a soap opera with the theme about the workings ofwel a Black church. It has all the trappings ofwel a day or nighttime soap, the woeful background music, the long, lingering glances and stares between the characters, everyone is beautiful or handsome, all walk around fully made up, een momentje when they wake up in the mornings, etc. The dialog is "soapy", as are the sets that are filled with flowers, no matter the home in which the scene is set. It's clearly made for a G rating.

I like that not every character kan zijn a skinny model in too -small clothing. more info I like the scenes between siblings and that wij have generations ofwel them. I'd like to see more diversity but there's a statement being made that there are many fine African American actors .
